European solar panel manufacturer REC presents its innovations at Intersolar Europe 2017 – Booth A2.380

REC, the leading European brand for solar panels, will present their latest product innovations from May 31 through June 2 at Intersolar Europe in Munich. Since start of 2017, REC has launched three new products based on the award-winning REC TwinPeak technologies and again sets new milestones on the multicrystalline platform.
  • New world-record-setting products based on the award-winning REC TwinPeak Series
  • Certified low carbon footprint of REC TwinPeak products
  • Leading solar panel supplier in Germany with 13% market share
  • Latest market insights for Germany, Europe, and worldwide

The TwinPeak 2S 72 solar panel, which uses the highly innovative and latest REC TwinPeak technologies to achieve a power output of up to 350 watt peak (Wp), sets a new world record in the class of multicrystalline 72-cell panels. With its exceptional low weight of only 22 kg, this panel can be used also with innovative mounting systems, such as the “GMS diamond roof” by solidenergie. It will be presented at this year’s Intersolar Europe. REC TwinPeak 2S 72 solar panels will also be showcased in sample installations at the booths of Mounting Systems, Krinner and Habdank

To meet the growing demand of private homeowners seeking optimal aesthetics, REC has also launched the new REC TwinPeak 2 BLK2 panel rated up to 285 Wp. This truly full-black panel is a multicrystalline panel, which thanks to a proprietary cell technology offers an evenly colored black surface unlike any other in the market. Earlier in 2017, the REC TwinPeak 2 Series was launched, breaking a world record on multicrystalline technology rated up to 295 Wp.

Like all REC panels, these new products are 100% free of potential-induced degradation (PID). Installers and consumers alike will benefit from the 25-year performance warranty and the 10-year product warranty of a leading European brand, backed by one of the lowest debt rate throughout the global solar industry.

More REC highlights at the 2017 Intersolar:
Certified low carbon footprint: REC TwinPeak products have been awarded the CERTISOLIS certificate, which officially confirms the panels’ low carbon footprint. This certificate is a validation of REC’s outstandingly green silicon production process in Norway, which uses approximately 70% less energy than the traditional process. REC’s products are now the preferred choice for French CRE4 tenders, and projects under CRE3 which have not yet been built.

Just in time for Intersolar Europe, REC is publishing their latest “Q1 2017 Solar Market Insight Report” with the company’s key performance figures and highlights along with the latest market insights. In Germany, REC has more than doubled its market share to 13%, which makes it the leading player in its core market in Europe. REC expects new tenders and business models to strongly shape the European PV market in the future, such as self-consumption or rental power models.
