REC Group exhibits at PV Expo in Japan
#1 European solar panel manufacturer presents its high-power product innovations
In addition to the new and innovative 50-cell monocrystalline panel specifically designed for the Japanese market, REC brings two new flagship products featuring its award-winning TwinPeak technology to the trade show – the world’s most powerful 60-cell and 72-cell multicrystalline panels. With these newly launched products, REC Group once again sets new standards for multicrystalline panels and demonstrates its global leadership with this technology.
The following REC panels will be on display at PV Expo:
- REC Peak Energy 2S Mono 50 BLK – a 50-cell mono panel with a power output of up to 250 Wp and the first 50-cell product for Japan by a European brand
- REC TwinPeak 2 – a 60-cell panel rated up to 295 Wp
- REC TwinPeak 2S 72 – a 72-cell panel rated up to 350 Wp
The REC TwinPeak 2 and TwinPeak 2S 72 panels are based on REC’s pioneering half-cut cell technology featuring multicrystalline PERC cells, split junction box and five bus bars for higher power output per square meter, increased yields, lower BOS costs and, therefore, shorter payback times for investors of rooftop and ground mounted solar PV installations.
Visitors to the REC booth can also explore a mock rooftop installation with REC’s new 50-cell mono panel. Also interesting to note, REC panels are warranted for installations on water. Recently, a 973 kWp floating installation using Ciel & Terre pontoons was commissioned in Japan. The system is the largest solar PV application on water with REC to date.
“REC is already recognized as a reliable and committed industry player in Japan, providing high-power products. Leading companies and brands like GRID, Hiji Denki, IKEA, Marubeni, Suzuyoshoji, and WQ, are our valuable customers already. With the latest product additions, we are strengthening our position and commitment to the Japanese solar market,” comments Ushio Okuyama, Representative Director of REC Solar Japan Co., Ltd.
REC’s most recent Solar Market Insight report for Q2 2017, demonstrates the company’s increasing business in Japan, in particular in the commercial & industrial segment as well as from multiple-unit residential customers. REC grew the number of deals by 71% in 1H 2017 compared to last year.
Visit REC at PV Expo in Osaka, Japan, from September 20-22, 2017 at booth number 14-80.
